Biography

Attorney Laura Arbuckle joined Gruber Law Offices as the Director of Human Resources in January 2017. She oversees all Human Resources functions for the Firm and is heavily involved in firm executive strategy and operations. Prior to joining the Gruber Law Offices team, Attorney Arbuckle worked as the Vice President of Human Resources at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and as the Vice President of Human Resources for Potawatomi Casino Hotel.

Attorney Arbuckle graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in Economics and Law. Upon graduation from Law School, Attorney Arbuckle worked for the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division in Washington DC before coming to Milwaukee where she worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Milwaukee County. While there, she worked in the misdemeanor, drug, general felonies, and sexual assault units and conducted over 100 jury trials. After 7 years in the District Attorney’s Office, she entered private practice, joining the criminal defense firm of Kohn Arbuckle Smith.

In 2004, Attorney Arbuckle pivoted from the daily practice of law, and joined Governor Jim Doyle’s administration as the Division Administrator of Intergovernmental Relations in the Department of Administration. Her expertise was instrumental in the Governor’s signing of Executive Order 39 which affirms the government-to-government relationship between Wisconsin’s 11 Tribal Sovereign Nations and the State of Wisconsin.

Attorney Arbuckle was raised on the Bad River Indian Reservation located on the southern shores of Lake Superior, near Ashland Wisconsin and is an enrolled tribal member. She has been married to Pepi Randolph for over 30 years and they are the parents of three adult sons, Miles, Isaac, and Maxwell. She enjoys politics, traveling, yoga, and spending time with her family.
