Biography
Attorney Harrington was born and raised in Milwaukee. He attended Marquette University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and history in 1992, graduating as a member of both the English and History National Honor Societies.
Attorney Harrington obtained his law degree in 1995 from Marquette Law School, where his maternal grandfather, Kenneth K. Luce, had taught as a law professor for over 30 years while also maintaining a private practice. Attorney Harrington accepted a nomination to serve as a member of the Moot Court Board and, during portions of both his undergraduate and law school studies, worked as an intern at the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office under E. Michael McCann.
In addition, Attorney Harrington worked with Marquette’s Equal Opportunity Program as a university tutor for economically underprivileged students during his final three years of undergraduate study and during his first year of law school.
Attorney Harrington has spent the last 29 years as a tireless and dedicated advocate for his clients and their families throughout the State of Wisconsin. He has obtained millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for individuals and families killed or injured by the negligent acts of others and has also honed his litigation skills in the criminal courts, where he has obtained felony acquittals at trial in various counties in Wisconsin.
He has been voted by readers of the Shepherd Express as being among the very best attorneys in Milwaukee in the magazine’s “Best of Milwaukee: Readers’ Choice Awards”; has been included on the “Best Lawyers List” as published in M: Milwaukee’s Lifestyle Magazine; and has been selected as both a “Rising Star” and “Super Lawyer” by Wisconsin Super Lawyers for many years.
Attorney Harrington has also served as an adjunct instructor in Bryant & Stratton College’s legal studies program and is a former elected board member and Secretary of the Waukesha County Bar Association. He also served on the Community Advisory Board for the Milwaukee Repertory Theater and on the board of the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation.
Attorney Harrington has resided in Whitefish Bay for the past 11 years and is a widowed father of two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, following Wisconsin sports, exercising, and trying to keep his family’s new rat terrier, Steve, out of trouble.
