Attorney Ramzy Halaby is a trusted and tenacious advocate whose entire legal career has been devoted to the pursuit of justice on behalf of injured victims. Born and raised in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Attorney Halaby is the son of two teachers who instilled in him the values of hard work, compassion and helping those in need.
After graduating from Ouachita Baptist University in 1999, with honors, Attorney Halaby moved to Washington, D.C. to attend the American University Washington College of Law. While in law school, Attorney Halaby’s interest in trial advocacy was further cemented when he was given the opportunity to participate in a civil practice clinic that represented indigent parties in Washington D.C. trial courts. This experience enlightened him to the vast disparities that often exist in the legal system between individuals and large corporate interests. It also fostered his passionate resolve to fight for justice on behalf of individual clients to help level the playing field against powerful insurance companies.
Upon graduating from law school in 2002, Attorney Halaby joined a litigation firm in the Washington, D.C. area where he successfully litigated numerous personal injury cases in both state and federal courts throughout the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia. As a passionate trial advocate, Mr. Halaby won many substantial verdicts on behalf of his clients. In addition to his success as a trial attorney, Attorney Halaby prevailed in a complex appeal that he argued before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.
In 2016, after spending several summers visiting close friends in Madison, Wisconsin (who also converted him into a Packers and Badgers fan), Mr. Halaby moved to Madison to join a litigation firm. After Attorney Halaby moved to Wisconsin, personal injury claims and litigation have continued to be the focus of his practice and professional passion. He has settled hundreds of personal injury claims on behalf of injured parties (including a recent settlement of $1.75 million dollars). Attorney Halaby has a strong trial reputation and has prevailed in many jury trials throughout his career.
Attorney Halaby is a skilled public speaker, but he recognizes that a good attorney must also be a perceptive listener. He understands that a personal injury attorney must not only give good legal advice, but also must be an empathetic and supportive presence through one of the most emotionally, physically and financially difficult times in a client’s life. His clients know him to be a compassionate, thoughtful advocate who counsels and supports them through an extremely difficult time. His opponents know him to be a skilled and aggressive adversary in the courtroom who tenaciously fights for justice on behalf of his clients.
In his spare time, Attorney Halaby enjoys cycling, hiking, creative writing, live music, and traveling.
